Small and medium transport fleets, mineral contractors and cross-border container operators all over West Africa, East Africa and Central Africa face tight capital budgets and harsh local road conditions. Brand-new tractor trucks cost too much, while ordinary second-hand trucks break down frequently on gravel, mine and muddy rural roads. Our fully refurbished HOWO TX 6×4 371hp used tractor unit is specially upgraded and inspected to adapt to Africa’s high-temperature, dusty and overloaded transport environment, a cost-efficient workhorse for local long-distance haulage.
Most second-hand trucks sold to Africa only get simple surface cleaning, but our workshop carries out full disassembly and deep overhaul tailored to African working scenarios. The WD615 371hp engine undergoes cylinder maintenance, fuel system cleaning and cooling system reinforcement to cope with long-hour driving under high heat. All aging valves, oil seals and pipelines are swapped with original Sinotruk spare parts to avoid oil leakage and power drop during continuous heavy-load climbing. The full air brake assembly is completely renewed; thickened brake linings are adopted to solve frequent brake overheating problems on African mountain slopes.
The classic 6×4 ten-wheel layout fits Africa’s mainstream load demand perfectly. Equipped with twin 13-ton heavy-duty drive axles and thickened multi-layer leaf spring suspension, the truck bears uneven loads steadily on bumpy unpaved roads. We install 12R22.5 deep-groove heavy-duty tires with more than 80% tread depth, which offer strong anti-skid performance on muddy and sandy roads and greatly reduce tire replacement frequency. The original high-strength chassis frame is polished to remove rust and repainted with anti-corrosion coating, resisting tropical rain and dust erosion. It can be matched with skeleton, flatbed, fence and fuel tanker semi-trailers, widely used for container port shuttle, ore, steel and agricultural goods transportation.
The TX double sleeper cab is fully refitted for African drivers. Brand-new air conditioning system is installed to withstand extreme hot weather; thickened noise insulation materials are added to ease fatigue during all-day cross-border trips. We support left-hand drive and right-hand drive conversion to meet different countries’ traffic laws, and provide customizable body colors favored by local fleets. Every truck passes full-load road test, leakage test and brake test before shipment, complete with full set of export clearance documents. We also supply one-year spare parts support covering major African countries.
