Batch of Finished Flatbed Semi-Trailers Ready for Shipment to African Ports

A brand-new batch of standard flatbed semi-trailers has completed full production and all inspection procedures at FD Automobile’s manufacturing base, and is now scheduled to be delivered to coastal ports for ocean shipment to multiple countries across Africa. This batch of flatbed units is customized to meet the general freight, container and machinery transport demands of African logistics fleets, marking another large-scale delivery of our tailored semi-trailer products to pan-African customers.

Every flatbed trailer went through a complete production flow including high-strength steel cutting, robotic full penetration welding, sandblasting anti-rust treatment and finish painting. Before leaving the workshop, each unit passed strict multi-item quality testing covering load bearing deformation inspection, lashing point strength test, braking system detection and full chassis anti-corrosion check, to guarantee stable operation under Africa’s bumpy, dusty and high-temperature road conditions.

In view of long-distance ocean transportation and salt spray erosion, our logistics team carried out professional pre-shipment protection work. All exposed metal parts were coated with supplementary anti-rust paint, rubber cushion blocks were placed between contact areas to prevent scratch damage, and all trailers were fixed with high-tensile steel cables and wooden chocks for stable stowage on bulk carriers. Multiple flatbed trailers will be compactly arranged on one vessel to cut per-unit sea freight costs for African importers.

These flatbed semi-trailers adopt reinforced Q355 steel main beams and heavy-duty mechanical suspension, with standard 13-ton axles and wear-resistant tires. The layout of container twist locks and side stake positions is optimized to handle containers, construction steel, agricultural goods and light engineering machinery, fully matching diversified cross-border transport scenarios across North, East, Southern and Central Africa.

According to the sales team, this order comes from several cooperative clients running cross-continental logistics businesses. After receiving the goods at local African ports, the flatbed trailers will be put into service for mineral distribution, agricultural commodity delivery and infrastructure cargo hauling. Our factory will provide complete sets of wear-resistant spare parts together with the shipment, alongside long-term remote technical after-sales support, to help local fleets lower maintenance downtime.

As intra-African trade keeps expanding, FD Automobile will keep boosting production capacity and optimizing Africa-exclusive trailer configurations, delivering more cost-effective, durable transport equipment to partners all over the African continent.
